How to Activate the Console Commands?
It is an in-built feature that is turned off and you can turn it on only by adding a text in the game shortcut so, you don’t have to install any mod or download any kind of file to activate console commands. Just follow the below steps to turn on the cheats.
You’ve to create a different shortcut to activate console commands in XCOM Chimera Squad. If you launch the game using Steam, cheats will not work.
Launch Steam and go to your game Library.
Right-click on XCOM Chimera Squad and click on Properties.
Go to Local files tap and then click on the Browse Local Files button. This will open a default folder where the game is installed.
Next, go to the Binaries > Win 64 folder and look for the xcom.exe file.
Right-click on the file and choose to Create Shortcut.
The shortcut will be saved on the Desktop. So go to Desktop and right-click on the newly created xcom.exe shortcut.
Click on Properties and under the Shortcut tab look for the Target box.
Just type -allowconsole at the end before the inverted comms.
Click Apply and close the window.
Launch the game and press the ~ on the keyboard to see the console command. This tilde is the default used in many games to launch the Developers Console.
