Follow these steps:

Step 1: Right-click the McAfee icon at the bottom-right corner of your Windows Desktop.

Step 2: Select Change settings > Real-time Scanning from the menu.

Step 3: In the Real-Time Scanning status window, click the Turn-off button.

Step 4: You are asked to specify when you want Real-Time Scanning to resume. Select Never from the drop-down menu. Click on the Turn-off button to confirm your selection.

Step 5: Right-click the McAfee icon again and then select Change settings > Firewall.

Step 6: In the Firewall status window, click the Turn-off button.

Step 7: You need to specify when you want the Firewall to be automatically turned back on. Select Never. Click on the Turn-off button to confirm your selection.

How to Disable McAfee Total Protection

Open the McAfee Total Protection program.

Step 1: Click the PC Security tab.

Step 2: Click Real-Time Scanning on the left pane.

Step 3: On the pop-up window, click the Turn Off Similarly, select Never, and click the Turn off button to confirm your selection.

Step 4: Click Firewall on the left pane, click the Turn Off button, and go through the same process.

Step 5: Click Automatic Updates and Scheduled scans on the left pane one by one and go through the same process to disable them.

How to Disable McAfee LiveSafe

Step 1: Open McAfee LiveSafe.

Step 2: On the left menu, click the My Protection tab.

Step 3: Click Real-Time Scanning.

Step 4: Click Turn Off and specify the resume time.

Step 5: On the My Protection tab, under Protect your PC, click Firewall.

Step 6: Click Turn Off and specify the resume time.

How to Disable McAfee VirusScan Enterprise

Step 1: Right-click on the McAfee icon in the System Tray and choose VirusScan Console.

Step 2: In the VirusScan Console, right-click on Access Protection, and choose Disable.
