Microsoft Intune is a cloud-based management tool for mobile devices that aims to provide unified endpoint management. The error “Your Organization’s data cannot be pasted here only certain words are allowed” is shown when you are attempting to paste information from Microsoft Outlook to some other application.

This simply means the app you’re trying to copy to isn’t recognized according to the Microsoft Intune Policy. While in other cases, the issue could be due to an outdated version of the Outlook or Office application installed on your device.

How to Fix “Your Organization’s Data Cannot be Pasted Here” on Windows PC?

Follow the fixes mentioned below:

Fix 1. Modify Intune Application Protection Policy

The error is shown when you try to paste data to an unauthorized application. This happens due to Microsoft Intune policies as it restricts users from replicating information for security purposes.

However, Microsoft Intune now allows the user to configure and change the policy allowing users to copy information to a certain authorized application while the rest of the applications are restricted.

For this you have to undergo the following steps:

Firstly, log in to your Microsoft Intune dashboard.
Now click on Client apps on the left-hand side.

On the left-hand panel, go to App protection policies

From the list of policies, click on the current policy settings to edit the already installed policy on your device.

Go to the Data transfer and locate Restrict cut, copy and paste between other apps to change it according to what you want.

Or, you can create a new policy by selecting the Create policy button from the list of policies. For this, you will have to provide additional details. You will find the feature in question under Settings > Data Protection > Data Transfer.

Lastly, click the OK button to save the policy.

After undergoing changes in policy configuration following these steps, you will be able to copy and paste data between apps. However, if you are still facing the same issue while copying and pasting the data between protected applications then make sure that your app is up-to-date.

Fix 2. Make Some Edit and Save the File

Make some minor edits on the file for instance by making one cell in Excel Spreadsheet, adding some words, or colors, and then saving the file.

After saving the editing file try to paste the copied text and check if the error persists. If the problem persists, close the file, exit the program, and wait for 30 seconds. Try to paste your data once again.

The problem can also lie in one of the apps of Office Suit so try to copy the data from another application and then try to paste it.

Fix 3. Long Press on the Screen

If you are facing this issue while using Android then know what can happen due to the use of Google Keyboard and this error is just a Gboard suggestion. So, long-press the area where you want to paste the data and paste it.
