TikTok is the most popular and widely used video-sharing platform for entertainment. When users create an account on TikTok, it’s stringent to mention the user’s age so that age-specific content will be delivered to them.

Some features of TikTok are also age-specific, like users less than the age of 18 years are not allowed to use private messaging or live streaming.

That’s why some users intentionally mention their incorrect age and faced a ban. On the other hand, some users add incorrect age by mistake and they want to change it and mention their actual age. But they don’t know how to do it, if you are also one of them then you are in safe hands.

Unlike changing your username on Tiktok you can’t find any option to change your age on TikTok. So it’s best, to be honest about your age while creating an account.

However, if you end up mentioning the wrong date of birth then contact their customer’s support to correct it. Follow these steps:

First, open the TikTok app on your Android or iPhone.

Step 1. From the bottom right of the home screen tap on your Profile.

Step 2. From the top-right corner tap on three lines.

Step 3. Then tap on Settings and Privacy.

Step 4. Find the Support section by scrolling down the Settings and privacy page then tap Report a Problem.

Step 5. Here you will see some topics, tap Account and profile in the first place.

Step 6. More options will pop-up, and select Other.

Step 7. Move further and select the option Need more help?

Step 8. A box will appear where you write your request in a few sentences to change your date of birth on TikTok account.

Finally. You will receive an email from customer support in a couple of days at the associated email address with your TikTok account. They may ask you to send a government-issued ID to approve your identity and confirm your birth date to change it.

Alternative Method To Change Age in TikTok (Not Recommended)

There is another alternative method to change your inaccurate birth date in TikTok which is to make a new account or sign up again after logging account. This way, you will lose your old Tiktok account with all its recorded videos.

So we won’t approve it. You may do so at your own risk but before using this method download all your content and delete the previous account.

You can’t simply check your date of birth in your TikTok account. We don’t know why but it’s hidden so you have to follow these steps to see your age on TikTok.

Open the TikTok app and tap on Profile from the bottom right.
Then tap on three lines in the top right corner.
Now tap on Settings and Privacy > Manage Account.
Here you will see the Download your Data tap on it.
Select the file format and tap on Request data.
Tap on the Download data tab and wait until they create a copy of your data.
Tap on Download and open the File you will be able to see your age.
