Change your Download Speed Settings
First, you need to check if there download limit set in the battle.net setting. To boost game download speed in the Battle.net App, navigate to Settings > Downloads, and find the Download Limits section.
To optimize the download speed, set the maximum Network Bandwidth limit to zero. By default, the download rate for Pre-release content is capped at 1000 KB per second.
Disable VPN
The Battle.net app may not work seamlessly with VPNs, potentially affecting download processes. If you’re encountering issues, attempt downloading the data without using a VPN to see if this resolves any connectivity problems or slow download speeds.
Network Adapter and DNS Settings
- Open the Control Panel.
- Go to Network and Internet, then select Network and Sharing settings.

- Click on Internet Protocol version 4, then click on Properties.
- Select “Use the following DNS server addresses.”
- Enter 8.8.8.8 as the preferred DNS server and 8.8.4.4 as the alternate DNS server.
